Kettering General Hospital is a well-regarded, medium-sized district general hospital. Paediatrics patients are cared for on Skylark ward and the Paediatric Admissions Unit, both of which are sited within a modern foundation wing of the hospital. Paediatric consultants at KGH currently have a mix of interests and additional skills, including in cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, safeguarding and neonates.
The neonatal unit is an 18 bedded unit, classified as Level 2. The SCBU is located within the Rockingham wing (maternity unit).
The Community paedaitric department is based at St Mary’s Hospital. The clinical team consists of 4 consultants and 3 associate specialists. Core skills and experience are routinely attained in behavioural, developmental paediatrics and safeguarding.
